  • constrict the differential diagnosis with radiologic and cytologic findings.
  • explain the clinical impact of the diagnosis.
  • recognize when definitive interpretation by cytology alone is not prudent.
  • identify when ancillary studies are imperative.
  • list examples of when the immunophenotype may change with therapy.
