ASCP Welcomes APF Attendees

"There are a lot of synergies that come out of this alliance that benefit both sides. Lab Management University and our joint activities of the two Annual Meetings are nice examples of that."

LMU Committee Member

American Pathology Foundation (APF) and ASCP forged an alliance because members of both organizations value quality education. As part of an expanded collaboration, APF and ASCP recently developed and unveiled a new online program, Lab Management University (LMU).

LMU is a powerful tool for those individuals moving into leadership positions or who are in the leadership realm and want to bolster their experience. If you complete the LMU program, you receive a certificate of completion in laboratory management that helps you advance in your career.

“LMU is leveraging APF’s practice management subject-matter expertise with the proven strength of the ASCP in designing and delivering premier educational programming,” says Ronald L. Weiss, MD, MBA, FASCP, APF Past President and ASCP–APF Chair of the LMU Working Group.

The partnership between ASCP and APF is evident in the quality of education and faculty to be provided at the 2013 ASCP Annual Meeting, Sept. 18–21, in Chicago. Our partnership harnesses the strengths of both organizations and allows us to provide you with access to the best resources, training, and education.
