International Invitation Letter
If you must apply for a temporary non-immigrant visa to the 2012 ASCP Annual Meeting, you are advised to apply as soon as travel to the United States is contemplated and not later than 3-4 months in advance.
APPLY EARLY! ASCP offers an official letter of invitation for 2012 ASCP Annual Meeting attendees. The letter of invitation, though not required for the visa application, can assist as a supporting document. Present this letter of invitation from ASCP to the consular officer during the visa interview. This letter by no means guarantees admittance into the U.S., but can provide compelling evidence for immigration officials to consider. Please note that ASCP cannot intervene with either U.S. embassies abroad or with the U.S. State Department on behalf of any participant.
To request a personalized invitation letter — please fill out the Letter of Invitation Request form and submit the form via email to 2012AnnualMeetingRequest@ascp.org. The deadline for requests is September 5, 2012. Requests will be processed within 10 business days after receipt of payment for the 2012 ASCP Annual Meeting and the completed Letter of Invitation Request form.
Please remember to include your email address on the form as this is where the personalized letter will be sent.
A full refund will be issued for cancellations received in writing no later than October 10, 2012. Refunds are not issued for cancellations received after October 10, 2012. ASCP reserves the right to cancel a program due to circumstances beyond its control or for insufficient registration. Registrants will be notified immediately and allowed to substitute a session or obtain a full refund. The Society is not responsible for penalties incurred as a result of cancelled transportation.
